SAWA 2012 Spring/Summer Collection

As brands evolve to financial freedom, many lose sight of their authentic appeal, failing to remember the founding morals defining their very essence. SAWA shoes contends to never forget where it came from, as it is, on record, the first sneaker manufacturer to produce its entire line in Africa, located in a small factory in Ethiopia’s capital city, Addis Ababa. To coincide with the launch of its 2012 Spring/Summer Collection and website, the aspiring sneaker manufacturer releases a video identifying the brand’s founding principles and providing a look into their workshop. Made entirely by hand with quality leather, waterproof stitching and durable outsoles, SAWA’s recently launched collection will feature two minimally designed models – a high and low top – both featuring the silhouette of its majestic homeland on the sole. SAWA shoes will be available at fine retailers including Dover Street Market in the UK, J.Crew in the USA, and Tomorrowland in Japan.
