Dior Homme frontman Kris Van Assche stepped out of the French fashion house’s shadow last night in presenting his eponymous Fall/Winter 2012 collection at Paris Fashion Week. Turning to current affairs for inspiration, the Belgian designer melded the blue-collar working man and white-collar banker for a collection of relaxed cuts and refined elegance. Juxtaposing draped trousers with streamlined button-downs, blazers and outerwear in shades of blue, grey and black, Van Assche displayed a coupling of his Dior roots with an affinity for suiting. The new KRISVANASSCHE line will be available at select retailers in Fall 2012.
