“An elegant anarchist” was Phillip Lim’s go-to motto for his Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Featuring a bevy of different looks, cuts, shapes and colors, the line seems to be all over the place yet united under a common flag of quality design. Never one to solely rely on a particular garment, Lim has also played with the idea of how garments are even meant to be worn, urging models to drape sweaters and shawls over their shoulders in quite the unorthodox manner. As a whole, the boundaries have been pushed and the challenge has been set for other designers with aspirations similar to Lim’s.
