London-based reggae & dub upstarts The Skints will release their second album Part & Parcel on April 9, 2012. The band mixes Jamaican styles with pop hooks, grimey raps, filthy basslines, and a punk rock work ethic to create a sound familiar to newcomers, yet unique below the surface. In the build up to what is possibly the most anticipated album of contemporary UK reggae, The Skints are showing no signs of slowing down or backing up for anybody. The funds to record the new album were raised by fans in just 11 days through Pledge Music. The resulting album is a sun-drenched carnival of a record featuring a collection of tracks that will undoubtedly make you want to dance. With a perfect harmony achieved between male and female vocals and a plethora of instruments appearing on the album, The Skints have truly proved their musical prowess on Part & Parcel. The band have toured relentlessly across the UK and Europe over the past few years with the likes of Reel Big Fish, Gym Class Heroes, Less Than Jake and The Slackers as well as making numerous festival appearances. The Skints are playing a one-off date with Gym Class Heroes this month and are going on to support You Me At Six in March/April.
