Cypress Hill to collaborate with Rusko on new dubstep EP

Cypress Hill have announced that they collaborated with dubstep DJ Rusko on a five-track EP, due for release in early April and offer up a trailer for the project today. The EP, aptly titled Cypress X Rusko, is a unique genre crossover for the hip-hop icons, and B-Real stated to NME that:

“This is one of those styles that we felt doing with Rusko would be a great match. We’ve always been the type of group to take chances on doing something radically different than what people expect from us. So this carries with the tradition of us going out of the box. If it’s not something that we embrace then we don’t dare mess with it and this is something we fell right into the pocket of.”

As far as Rusko’s concerned, it’s not the first time he’s worked with artists from other music guises, having remixed tracks for the likes of KiD CuDi, Lady Gaga, Kelis, Kid Sister and more.
