Having many divisions under their belt, Nike made a mark in the skateboarding world by the release of Nike SB in 2003. Since then various collaborations with skateboarders as well as artists have been a consistent sight. Todd Bratrud’s name is the ultimate statement in skateboard art, together with Nike SB they celebrate another recent collaboration (after the previously released “Cheech & Chong” SB Dunk High) by releasing this smokin’ design called “The Cigar.” This limited production sneaker’s upper is made from brown and burgundy suede accented with the globally recognized red swoosh, and the contrasting approach surely gives a feel of ordered chaos. The Cigar is certainly unrestrained by colors, as the red lace gives an even stronger accent to this acclaimed pair. On a note similar to the Cheech & Chongs, a second material layer will provide new life to the shoe as it gets skated. Available now at Caliroots.
