Mugler Women's 2012 Spring/Summer Presentation Film featuring Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is the centerpiece in this exclusive film directed by Inez and Vinoodh to showcase the Mugler women’s Spring/Summer 2012 fashion show in Paris. The film’s music was curated by Lady Gaga and contains an exclusive remix of “Black Jesus + Amen Fashion” by DJ White Shadow. Designer Nicola Formichetti said the collection “…is about emotion and memory and something forming and abstract rather than complete… We concentrated on the idea of the silhouettes.” The garments seen were constructed through classic tailoring techniques that were spliced together, or through a cutaway method giving the garments a more abstract quality. The pieces looked like a “second skin” on the models, with some being accented with Swarovski crystals.
