Keeping kids entertained on long car rides and stopping hissy-fits in their tracks just got easier. Disney has just introduced a new collection of Cars AppMATes to run on iPad, made especially for children. The iPad serves as a digital track, so tiny hands can run their Cars toys across the screen, allowing children to race around the tracks, compete, and complete missions. A release is set for October 2011, with the app offered as a free download through iTunes. A two-pack of cars will cost $20 USD, with an accompanying iPad case also being made available. Look for them through Apple and Disney stores.
