There is no doubt that The Throne is currently ruling the entire music industry. Thus, not only experts predict that Watch the Throne will make a high impact on the charts. While the album hit digital shelves on iTunes yesterday, early sales estimates have already arrived. In less than 24 hours, WTT has conquered the No. 1 spot on iTunes in over 20 countries. The LP, which avoided leaking in advance, is on track to sell at least 400,000 to 500,000 copies in its first week in the U.S., according to Billboard. This would give Jay-Z and Kanye West the second-largest sales week of the year, behind Lady Gaga’s Born This Way, which opened with 1.1 million units. Official first-week sales will be released on Wednesday, August 17. Watch the Throne is available exclusively at iTunes until Friday, when other digital retailers and physical stores will also be able to offer this piece. Best Buy will provide the deluxe version exclusively from August 12-22.
