It appears that this year’s MTV Video Music Awards will offer an exclusive preview of what to expect from this fall’s Watch the Throne tour as Jay-Z and Kanye West will take on the stage during tonight’s festivities. According to E! Online, The Throne has been added to the already star-studded lineup.
No details have been released as to when the two will perform in the broadcast or what song they’ll be performing. Even most of the MTV crew and production team don’t even know yet when they’ll actually take the stage during the show. The big questions are, what songs will be performed and will the dynamic duo be joined on the stage by Jay-Z’s better half Beyoncé, who also has her own set during Sunday’s show?
The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, set to be the third host-less ceremony in history and airing August 28 at 9 p.m., will feature performances by opener Lady Gaga, Adele, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Young the Giant and Pitbull, with tributes to Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears in the works.
