A few days prior the release of his much-anticipated The R.E.D. Album, Game has offered an explanation for the numerous delays of the LP. As told to Billboard.com, the Compton rapper stated that the arrival of his new album is intended to cause maximum disruption to his hip-hop rivals such as Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collaboration, and Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter 4.

The R.E.D. Album hits shelves on August 23 on DGC/Interscope. What are your thoughts on this strategy?
