Dover Street Market "The Ship of Fools" by Matt Clark Display Window

In January and July of each year, London-based fashion retailer Dover Street Market holds a biannual Tachiagari where they welcome the new season by introducing a brand new window display that’s been created in partnership with a changing roster of artists and designers that are admired by the retailer. This season, Dover Street Market has chosen artist Matt Clark for the Tachiagari and has asked the artist to base the display upon his interest in narrative and characters. Depicting a lone boat with no captain and no direction, what originally began as a simple play on words slowly transformed into an art piece that depicts the human condition.
