A concept that began in 2010 in a ramp-up to the 2010 World Cup, the adiCup once again took place this past weekend in New York City. In a city that is quickly emerging as a hotbed of soccer-related events and activities (including the current playing of the Cosmos Copa), the more lifestyle-orientated adiCup welcomed a slew of notable participants. The likes of United Bamboo, Complex FC, The Standard, Opening Ceremony, VICE FC and the Chinatown Soccer Club all competed for the honor of being this year’s champion as adidas-sponsored DJ Neil Armstrong provided the beats for the day.
