The Black Keys - Dearest (Buddy Holly Cover)

There is a new Buddy Holly tribute CD coming out June 28 on Concord Music that will feature an impressive lineup. 19 artists, including McCartney, will participate in Rave On: Buddy Holly, a collection of tracks featuring his songs covered by a variety of artists from Lou Reed and Graham Nash. Other artists featured on the disc will be Cee Lo Green, Jenny O., Nick Lowe, Patti Smith, Kid Rock, My Morning Jacket, John Doe, Graham Nash and Florence + The Machine. Buddy’s music has continued to be recognized since his death, and he was among the first musicians to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. You can now listen to The Black Keys’ contribution for this intriguing project. The duo gives their rendition of “(Ummm, Oh Yeah) Dearest” which you can now stream below!
