Beyoncé to Release New Album in Summer

Besides her recent professional split from her father and a potential Odd Future and Sleigh Bells collaborations, news from Beyoncé have been scarce for the past few months. However, there must be a good reason for this. As NME points out, the acclaimed songstress has been working on material for the follow-up to her 2008’s I Am… Sasha Fierce which will possibly come out this summer. Sony Music Australia chief Denis Handlin told the Daily Telegraph that an extensive tour is in the plans as well:

“It was just amazing,” he said of the songs he’d heard on the record. “She came in and played us six tracks from the album. She wants to do a big tour off the back of this record… these songs, the best description I can give is groundbreaking; she’s gone to another level.”
