As mentioned back in January, this year’s C.O.L.A. Fellowship Exhibition will be anchored by Mark Dean Veca as the artist will be honored, along with a selection of other artists, at the annual City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) award’s Individual Artist Fellowships. Following his initial Kool-Aid Man teaser, Mark previews another pop icon as part of his new series of works, this time in the form of Charlie Tuna, the Starkist Tuna mascot who celebrates his 50th anniversary this year. Thirteen artists in total will be participating in the exhibition, with a launch scheduled sometime in May 2011. Stay tuned for further details.
