As founding art director for the Fool’s Gold label, Brooklyn-based artist Dust La Rock’s unique imagery has helped create a visual identity for an entire scene, from Duck Sauce’s webbed mascot to Kid Sister’s psychedelic “Pro Nails” and KiD CuDi’s marooned spaceman. However, Dust’s own musical tastes and personal interests are quite varied and esoteric, and for his latest project he has tapped into his fascination with the work of experimental sound collective and multimedia pioneers Psychic TV to create an exhibition of new works entitled “B.K. Scum.” Dust has teamed up with DJ/producer Star Eyes (Trouble & Bass) for a B.K. Scum mix, a collection of Psychic TV music and rarities collected throughout the years, along with exclusive vocals from Genesis.
There will also be a show taking place that’s on the musical and visual contributions of the group. Date and venue information below:
