Contemporary menswear label The River unveil an initial preview of its Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Thematically branded as the “AFRO IVY BEAT,” the collection gathers heavy influence from the former French colony Republic of the Congo. Placing heavy emphasis on all-over-print patterns, the range manages to maintain an irreverent yet sophisticated twist on classic pieces such as blazers, chino pants, knit sweaters, cardigans and cropped shorts. While plenty of time still remains until this collection materializes, the lookbook showcases a comprehensive array of what we can expect from the Japanese label next season.
