Leighton Causeway Bay Shopping Destination Grand Opening in Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s vibrant Causeway Bay district welcomes Leighton, a new marquee stop in one of the world’s most important shopping districts. Providing inspiration and retail to a progressive and cutting-edge demographic, the lifestyle initiative encompasses a careful selection of fashion, lifestyle and food. A major driving force behind the new area is the grand opening a G-Star RAW flagship store. Representing both Asia’s first ever and the largest G-Star RAW ever, some marquee products will grace the floors including the ongoing collaborative work with industrial designer Marc Newson. G-Star RAW has represented one of G-Star’s greatest exploits, lending itself as a platform for greater creative discourse. G-Star RAW’s CMO Joris Aperghis has the following to say “Hong Kong historically is a very prestigious destination in Asia and is still one of the most thriving places in the world today. To open the largest G-Star RAW store in the world till date there, underpins our position as a luxury denim brand. The store is in a fantastic location and conveys the raw aesthetic and modern authenticity of the G-Star brand DNA.” Other spaces worth mentioning include “Fabulously British” brand Jack Wills who also welcome their first Asian flagship store, Japanese denim specialists 45R, and finally local Hong Kong-based select shops Shine*, An odd morning and Hydrogen.

To help mark the opening of Leighton, a photography “Leighton Snapshot Contest” contest will take place until January 8, 2012. Participants can upload photos to both Leighton Center’s Facebook or Instagram (with the hashtag #leightonCWB). The winning photo will be given the chance to attend a fashion show in Paris while secondary winners will be gifted a $1,000 HKD G-Star RAW gift certificate by Leighton.
