In creating one of the more intriguing murals for Art Basel Miami 2011, street artist Jersey Joe tagged nearly an entire block to present his unique concept. The inspiration behind his elaborate piece came from artists of the ’70s and ’80s who would paint along subway cars from front to back, to in turn equate to a movable transition of work. Joe implemented the use of vibrant faces to span across his elongated canvas, awarding those who drive by with a somewhat similar throw-up effect, leading to a story along the way.
