It’s been widely reported that Jay-Z will account for the first-ever solo hip-hop act to perform at the illustrious Carnegie Hall in February of next year, although that may be stretching it just a bit considering MC Lyte, Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill each have previously held showings there as well. Despite the moderate confusion, tickets for the much-anticipated event will go on sale starting December 12, as the proceeds will in turn benefit the United Way of New York City, as well as Jay’s Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. Premium pricing will run from $500 USD to $2,500, and yes, less-expensive public tickets will be available starting January 30. The pair of shows will be held on February 6 and 7.
