Upon the release of Common’s The Dream/The Believer featured single “Sweet,” it was clear that the actor/rapper was unhappy with something or someone. It turns out that his fiery, lyrical onslaught was directed towards golden boy Drake, as was confirmed this morning from Common himself on Sway In The Morning. While Drake has yet to address the shots, his longtime friend and go-to producer Noah “40” Shebib quickly jumped back in questioning if Common is even hip-hop or not. He has since tweeted saying that his comments aren’t disses towards the native Chicago artist, but merely facts. And while the motive behind Common’s attack at Drake is still unclear, it should be interesting to hear from him as well as Drake in response.
