After an unsuccessful campaign to replace Nickelback for the halftime performer of the Detroit Lions’ football game today, Mayer Hawthorne decided rather than be bitter, to hit the stage in his parent’s basement and perform anyway. Although the Lions are considered underdogs in today’s game, Meyer Hawthorne refuses to let that take away from his love for the team.
