Betty Wright & The Roots featuring Lil Wayne - Grapes On a Vine

Although her biggest claim to fame is her 1970s hit songs such as “Where Is The Love?” and “Clean Up Woman,” Grammy Award-winning R&B/soul singer-songwriter Betty Wright is still going strong at 57 years of age. While many artists of her era have left the pen, pad and microphone behind them by now, Wright is readying the release of her 17th studio album, Betty Wright: The Movie. The special project was co-produced and co-written by ?uestlove of The Roots and features collaborations with the likes of Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg and Joss Stone. The first two may sound strange, but some might remember that Weezy tapped her back in 2008 for his Tha Carter III song “Playing With Fire.” The new duet between the two, titled “Grapes On a Vine,” can be streamed below, and Mrs. Wright’s new album can now be pre-ordered on iTunes until it hits stores next Tuesday, November 15 by way of S-Curve Records.
