The Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 is the newest installment to the Aston Martin Vantage series, which started with the V8 Vantage back in 2008. While images for the GT3 were first released back in April, Aston Martin has just begun its track testing on this powerhouse racing coupe. The design and engineering of the new V12 GT3 endurance racer has been led by Aston Martin Racing’s Chief Engineer for GT, Dan Sayers, and the car packs a 6.0-liter V12 engine, over 600 HP and an extensive body kid. Weighing in at 1250 Kg, the car’s transmission consists of Xtrac 6 speed sequential transmission with semi-auto gear change, limited slip ramp/plate differential, and a carbon fiber propshaft. It has already been tested for 1,000 kilometers by factory driver David Turner, as it is soon to be used in the FIA GT3 championships, the Blancpain Endurance Series, and the VLN Nürburgring series.
