“Afghanistan” is a short film that aims to balance out the typical view of the nation, which in recent memory has been a view of terror and destruction, with some of the nation’s natural beauty. Breathtaking landscapes and beautiful colors are frequent in the film, as well as honest portraits of the local towns of Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif. The film has a very raw, somber feel, and ultimately wants to show that while Afghanistan is seen as America’s enemy – at the end of the day, it is a nation that aside from a few radicals is filled with regular people just like us.
