On November 4th, New York City’s Sperone Westwater Gallery hosted the latest collection of work from sculptor, Tom Sachs. Titled “WORK,” the exhibition explores Sachs’s fascination with reshaping cultural iconography and everyday objects using a range of unexpected materials. Challenging his audience’s typical interactions with the ordinary, “WORK” features pieces ranging from vintage camera, television set, and salon chair recreations to sculpted reincarnations of familiar brand packaging from companies including Trojan Condoms and Scotch Tape.
