Celebrated hairdresser Adee Phelan is the latest tenant to Birmingham’s most talked-about landmark destination, The Cube. Housing 30 hair-cutting stations with various quirky adornments, the 5,000 square feet canal-side space is outfitted by designer Ryan McElhinney. McElhinney is known by many for his toy sculptures and various idiosyncratic crafts. Having commissioned by Phelan to creatively work on the salon’s interior, the result is a union of vintage furniture, pop art visuals and other modern aesthetics.
