AFFA which stands for Anarchy Forever Forever Anarchy is a collaboration line between Hiroshi Fujiwara and Jun Takahashi. The two Japanese household names will be releasing a brand new range of thought-provoking pieces through their latest AFFA “ASSEMBLE” Collection. The project was inspired by each personality’s ongoing fascination with punk culture and aesthetics. One standout piece that highlights the collection’s philosophy is the punk-inspired Bondage Pants which has often been synonymous with checked patterns. However the two designers have decided to take out that iconic element in order to present a more subtle look. As Takahasi described through honeyee, the collection’s Bondage Pants offer a similar utilitarian functionality and aesthetic as its original design, however AFFA have transformed them into a mature, classic military feel by stripping them off from their metal chain, strap and buckle decorations. The pants are scheduled for a drop in December 2011, while other key items including down jacket, shirt, T-shirt, and a range of accessories are expected to be on sale between October and November 2011.
