Initially previewed during Baselworld 2010, Oakley gives us a look into its upcoming Gearbox timepiece, inspired by the intricate beauty of performance machines that blend the elegance of precision with the art of kinetics. This salute to mechanical engineering features five-jewel Swiss movement in an original Oakley sculpture of stainless steel. Rendered with a uniquely dimensional dial face, Gearbox represents a new evolution in styling. The chassis of impact-forged stainless steel is honed with Computer Numeric Controlled machining and matched with a screw-down crown that optimizes water resistance. Three initial colors will be offered, including a black/charcoal/red, black/white/silver, and the third pictured above. A release is set towards the end of October 2010.
