Stones Throw and Now-Again Records present the latest project by The Heliocentrics which finds them joining forces with Ethio-jazz legend Mulatu Astatke and ethnomusicologist, jazz maestro and multi-instrumentalist, Lloyd Miller. Here is a lyrical description of this promising album.

Pioneering UK collective The Heliocentrics resurface alongside a fascinating jazz enigma, ethno-musicologist, jazz maestro and multi-instrumentalist, Lloyd Miller. Miller’s lifelong interest in Persian and Eastern music forms lead him to learn a vast array of traditional ethnic instruments from across Asia and the Middle East. Their collaboration is a freeform mix of Eastern arrangements, jazz and angular psychedelics and represents the Heliocentrics’ most accomplished work to date.
