TO-ORIST 2010 Autumn/Winter Collection Lookbook

Founded by Kenyan born British designer Brian Gathii, To-orist create pieces that are designed to be timeless, transeasonal, signature concepts. After we showed a short preview past January, the official lookbook for the Spring/Summer season has now arrived. Shot by Neil Bedford, all items are handmade using unique engineered processes such as holograms, real cork, leather and swarovski. Check out the full collection below.

TO-ORIST (pronounced ‘tourist’) n. 1. A neurotic fixated on exploring unchartered territory whether physically or mentally with no limitation. 2. An object of situation that appears Jarring. 3. SHEER ABNORMALITY

Centred on exploration (hence the name) To-orist exists in a clandestine realm. The line is often characterised by its art directed experiments with terrestrial science and archaeological imagery involving holographic zebras and illuminated sarcophagi. Leopard prints and hand palm x-rays.
