As 2010 is nearing its conclusion, the editorial team here at Hypetrak sat down together and made a selection of this year’s most notable LP-releases. We could have made our selection based on traffic numbers, Facebook-shares and Tweets of each artist, but we preferred to go the old-fashioned way and let our personal taste lead us through this list. As for the number 1, it shouldn’t surprise too many that we placed Kanye’s epic My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album at the top spot. Like most other blogs and magazines we agree that Ye created some timeless music which transcends and even breaks through various genres thus becoming artistically challenging and provoking. This does not only refer to the content but also the very unique way of delivery that has undoubtedly fascinated the music world. His popular G.O.O.D. Friday-series blessed users around the globe with free quality music on a weekly base, some of each would eventually feature on the album. Mr. West showed that he understands the ways and the power of this modern Internet medium. On that note, check out our favorite full lengths this year. Agree or disagree or discuss below.
