Widely held as a lucky charm in Japanese society, BAPE has added their distinctive camouflage pattern to the original “Daruma” doll design. The dolls are said to be modeled after Bodhidharma, the founder of the Zen sect of Buddhism and have been seen as symbol of perseverance and good luck.
