With a strong background in knitwear beginning in Belgium and eventually moving on to Central Saint Martins, Xavier Brisoux’s 2010-2011 self-titled xavierbrisoux collection incorporates various themes from the painting “Penelope’s Tapestry” by Rene Margritte. The knitwear takes on an interesting re-appropriation to traditional styles and shapes with some detailed elements thrown in to push the boundaries of knitwear.
