In a rare all-English interview from honeyee, the attention turns to Nobuyoshi Araki. Having recently celebrated his 69th birthday with an exhibition featuring 69, 6 x 9 prints, the interview takes on a slight pessimistic tone as Araki denounces the current digital trend in photography. Furthermore Araki discuses how the previous approach to photography creates a much different bond between the end product and the photographer. The whole interview can be seen at honeyee. Nobuyoshi Araki’s “Polart 6000” show is currently running until Thursday, August 20th at the Rat Hole Gallery.
