Preparing for his show tonight at Upper Playground’s FIFTY24SF Gallery, we caught up with New York-based artist Anthony Lister. Having received multiple awards around the world for his abstracted figural paintings, Lister brings his talents this time across the country to San Francisco. Entitled “Magic Trick”, the exhibition is a reflection of the constant bombardment of media, and its relationship with the viewer. Lister’s mixed media techniques give his work a profundity that has attributed to his buzz-worthy status throughout the world. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for a more in-depth feature behind Anthony’s work and be sure to check out his show tonight along with Greg “Craola” Simkins’ at FIFTY24SF.
