Finishing things off for the 2008 summer collection between Upper Playground and adidas Originals is this 4th and final offering from New Mexico transplant Sam Flores. Leaving the world of instituted art prematurely, Sam Flores would go on to become an established self-educated illustrator and fully grasp the concept of fine art and product design. His unforgettable aesthetic was combined with the desire to make a uni-sex design for the warm weather. This sneaker just marks the latest in the Upper Playground/Sam Flores saga as more products are on the horizon including a double vinyl effort to celebrate UP’s 10th anniversary. The 500 pair release will go down on Thursday, August 7th at Upper Playground stores and online at UpperPlayground.com (at 8:00 am PT).
