The inspiration behind while tides guide you back home, his 1st solo exhibition, stems from regretful feelings of leaving the island of Hawaii, his native land, for the big city life of California. Re-working childhood reminiscence, Edwin Ushiro’s combination of digital and traditional media transform every one of his thoughts into a remarkable work of art that has lead to multitudinous critical acclaim.
