HYPEBEAST recently sat down with skateboard legend and HUF creator Keith Hufnagel in an interview that gets in-depth on the origins of Keith’s skating career, why he decided to open HUF originally and some inside information on his brand new shop opening in Los Angeles. The video features some, vintage photos, excellent footage of Keith shredding the urban terrain on his skateboard as well as some shots of the HUF store. Vans 45LX "Fixed"

With the fixed gear scene increasing with more riders day in, day out, quintessential skate brand Vans has stepped in to offer bike riders their own little niche sneaker. On the surface, the 45LX seems very similar to Vans’ current Era/Authentic styles, however minute details along with a saddle bag would speak otherwise to the legion of riders out there. The details include 3M highlights on the laces and marquee heel logo. However, the unassuming details will definitely come across as a genuine effort for the fledging fixed gear market. No word yet on a release date. Source: Crooked Tongues

Sneakersnstuff (SNS) x Reebok SNS5000

Last year, Swedish retailer Sneakersnstuff first released a sneaker inspired by the traditional settlers of Sweden – the Sámi people. This year they will once again take cues from the history of Sweden and have used Dalecarlia to create this Sneakersnstuff x Reebok SNS5000. “Dalecarlia is a province in the middle of Sweden best known for the Dalecarlian horse or “Dalahästen” as they say in Sweden. A wooden horse painted with a technique called kurbits. The horse first got carved in Sweden in the 17th century as a toy for children. In 1939 the Dalecarlian horse represented Sweden at the New York World’s Fair and since then the horse has been a very strong symbol for the country.” Only 300 pairs will be produced each retailing at 110 Euros. The Reebok SNS5000 will be released on July 25th and will be available at Sneakersnstuff as well as Solebox.
