Pastelle, the much much anticipated clothing label from Kanye West, has been very discreet. But finally, now we get glimpse of its sunglass collaboration with Ksubi, an Australian fashion label known amongst many celebrities. Ksubi designer, George Gorrow, first worked with Kanye in 2006 to create stage eyewear for his music videos. The line will be launched in October and will feature a limited edition gold frame sunglasses that will go for around $2000.
This is definitely a collaboration worth waiting for, as it seems like Kanye and George Gorrow make for a strong team as Kanye says, “I love the sunnies Ksubi has produced over the years, and it’s an honour to collaborate with them on this first installment of Pastelle frames, George is an incredibly talented designer, and I’ve never met anyone who knew more about sunglasses and other cool stuff.”

jeffstaple, founder of Staple Design, shows us some of the new pieces for Staple’s 2008 Spring Collection. The collection includes tees, track jackets, track pants, and long-sleeve polos, all with basic colors such as white, gray, and black. All the designs seem to have a school theme with tees that feature the never-ending Pi number and one that shows Einstein as a teacher. Every piece has a conceptually-driven design with nice details. The folks at Staple gives us another solid collection, always making designs that are a little more than it seems.
Bape, the ever-expanding empire of Nigo, has just released some news for its New York store. It seems that they are now taking phone orders for their current season collection over the weekends, which is great news for all those people having a hard time getting their hands on anything Bape. The policy remains the same as their in-store policy with no returns, no exchanges, and no refunds. All the orders taken over the weekend will be shipped the next business day. If you’re a Bape fan, this is a good time to start expanding that collection!
