Here’s the latest collaboration for the 1st year anniversary of the magazine/store BKRW (Black Rainbow). This time, they have teamed up with XLarge to create this “OG Noir” t-shirt which utilizes the original XLarge Ape logo but of course with their own twist. The tee will be limited to 50 pieces and are available at the BKRW store now.
Brian Siswojo has been among a series of OGs who have brought significant awareness to the skate scene throughout Southeast Asia. His work and influence has undoubtedly gained him a wealth of respect from peers all around resulting in a collaboration with the Japanese division of big time skate publication Thrasher. The collection features button up shirts and t-shirts in various colorways. A release date is set for July 2008 and limited to Japan.
The recently revitalized Reebok Reverse Jam has just came out with a new colorway in both mid and low versions. The shoes are mainly white with nicely positioned green and yellow accents, featuring a mixture of leather and perforated leather. The mid sole has a paint splatter spotting effect with yellow and green dots. The tongue is emblazoned with a hand-written like logo. Both are currently available at Overkill.
Nom De Guerre teamed up with high-quality eyewear brand, Oliver Peoples, to produce a very classic frame that is inspired by famous 50’s musician, Roy Orbison. The frame will come in two colors, black and brown. These will only be produced in limited quantities so be sure to snatch them up when they go on sale at Oki-Ni.
In a familiar trend from BBC | Ice Cream in recent memory, the evolving brand has once again incorporated various car references into their designs for these latest products releasing this Saturday at BBC | Ice Cream Hong Kong. Aside from the two tees and denim, other pieces include signature iconography available on tee prints and belt buckles as well as a plush pillow.

The Dragon Artist Project moves forward with a familiar name in artist Mike GIANT on the Calavera model. GIANT’s initial love for drawing sprouted off at a young age, eventually settling in New Mexico as a tattoo artist as he continually developed his art. A limited edition GIANT Calavera will come packaged with a set including box and booklet featuring Dragon Artist Project/GIANT projects. A suggested retail price of $125 has been set and should release at Karmaloop in coming weeks.
For many apparel brands, the thought of creating technical garments that embody their own specific visual aesthetics isn’t the hard point. However ensuring the piece meets performance standards is another more difficult task. Skateboarding’s street revolution owes a big part to Manhattan. “Deathbowl…” is the first film to really explore skateboarding’s urban history in-depth, including many of the 70’s pioneers and current players in the game. Chloe Sevigny narrates the film and major artists, such as the Beastie Boys, have contributed music. The NYC preview of “Deathbowl to Downtown – The Evolution of Skateboarding in New York City,” is happening May 8, at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center. Attendees of will receive a custom giftbag designed by Worship Worthy and graphic designer Steve NIsh containing the an elephant print Nike SB wallet, Nike SB Staple Design Pigeon socks, Keep Koozie, 5Boro skateboard magnets, and a Mountain Dew Green Label Art Bottle designed by Chuck Anderson.
