Nike Dunk Rivalry Pack

In a visitation back to its foundation as a college bred performance basketball sneaker, Nike introduced the Rivalry Pack. Sourcing out the biggest fanatics, team players and athletic departments at three colleges, the end result was a product highly reflective of the colleges at hand. The three schools memorialized include Syracuse University, University of North Carolina and Georgetown University. These Dunks were honored with a special dinner where select guests were each gifted with a pair, most likely creating an insatiable envy amongst the schools biggest fans. Source: Allen Benedikt

Eliminator x Ben Sherman Sports Shirt

Eliminator x Ben Sherman Sports Shirt

A little while back we reported on the “History is Made and Never Bought” collaboration between Ben Sherman and Baracuta. Ben Sherman is an original 20th century brand that celebrates its Mod/Ska association. Regular workwear and casual brands such as Schott, Carhartt, and in this case Ben Sherman are transformed into limited edition mutations via collaborations in Japan. This Ben Sherman x “Eliminator” collaboration is one such transformation. A standard narrow cut, that on close inspection shows extreme futurism. The materials, mesh, underarm breathability etc. go far beyond simple cut & sew. It is something you have to see to believe, and in contrast to bringing back a classic, Ben Sherman has brought the future to the present with a Jetson-esque fusion of the past’s interpretation of the far future. Sammler by Lee's

Sammler by Lee's

Many collaborations are featured here almost daily especially from the Far East. They come in different forms but the best quality comes from a merging of a contemporary “fashion” brand together with an actual garment maker. American workwear makers are the natural choice for these collaborations and we’ve seen Dickies x Bouncer, Levis x Fragment, Schott x Neighborhood. These new brands need the decades/century old know-how of these garment makers to serve as foundation for their graphics or logos. “Tokushu Blouson” shows that this is the case featuring Sammler’s worker jackets by Lee’s. Denim maker Lee has provided Sammler with a 101J and 91J worker jacket. The 91J is supposedly the upper of a worker’s overalls, further emphasizing a post-war industrial feel. The 91J is manufactured with a “Rip-stop” Tiger camo, a vintage pattern from 1948 first used in the Jungles by the French in Indo-Chine. This camo was continued to be by US Special Forces in Vietnam, which had once been part of France’s empire. The 101J is worked over with a contemporary feel, small polka-dots with contrasting stitching. The buttons are eroded and old, and whether they are actual vintage pieces is unknown, however enough to make any workwear fan crazy. Source: Hynms
