Upon last years opening of The Simpson’s inaugural jump to the silver screen, Chanel lead-man Karl Lagerfeld was among the group of fashion designers accompanying the Simpsons in cartoon form. Fast forward to this year, the legendary designer has returned in a new form as one of the radio DJs for the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto IV. While various musical genres will be represented, Lagerfeld’s own love of electronica and dance and personal commentary will highlight his role in the popular video game series.

Wrapping up earlier this week, Milan hosted Signjam, a cultural forum on the roots and development of streetwear. The event was marked by high profile personalities offering their opinions and insights on the past and present state of streetwear. They included the likes of photographer Fats Shariff, artist SheOne, label VNGRD, DJ, cultural commentator Bobbito Garcia and Steven Vogel. Among the events was a special hand screened t-shirt, sneaker customization and a party hosted in conjunction with retailer Slamjam.
