It was bound to happen. Following in the footsteps of cigarettes, hot meals, and a lot of wierder stuff, your favorite sneakers will be available in a vending machine in case you run out suddenly. Onitsuka Tiger is Japan’s original sneaker brand made infamous by its appearance in Kill Bill. The creative minds there have made a vending machine for trainers available to those in the London area on Carnaby Street. If you’re in the area on the 14-16th April, you may have a chance to win a pair from the machine. Go check out this stunt for your self, and make sure you have crisp bills for the machine.
Chloe Sevigny, known to many of you originally as the chick from Larry Clarke’s “KIDS”, is once again posing uniquely for Uniqlo’s Spring ‘08 line up. We see more graphic based Tee’s, including an Atom Boy influenced graphic and a fireworks motif, something that describes summer to most Japanese. In this case, Uniqlo is bringing some retro Japanese to the West, a nice change from the Americana they revitalize usually over there. There is a 70’s rock theme Raglan Tee and flared pants though for those that can’t get enough of the US’s good old days however. Like other JP brands, Uniqlo has cooked up some vivid edgier stuff for the West as opposed to what they would serve at home. More looks after the jump
A second batch of S/S 08 Supreme tees have surfaced on the Japanese resell site Stay246. As always the graphics are striking drawing upon sexual and anti-establishment themes . This shirts also seem to have a heavy comic book influence. Included amongst the tees is a flip of the graphic from the film Lolita. Expect the shirts to drop shortly in Supreme stores worldwide.

These items will be dropping in the next several weeks at Neighborhood stores as well as Neighborhood’s new flagship store in Hong Kong, HOODS.
The Nike Star Classic was first released back in 1974 and like many models from that era, it functioned as basketball sneakers. Fast forward thirty or so years and here you have the Nike Star Classic re-released. For this release, two colors have been selected: blue and orange. Both feature a perforated suede upper and a nice big Swoosh. The tag on the tongue is a reminisce of the original Nike logo. Available now at Atmos Tokyo.
