Founded by Asian pop superstar Jay Chou, sneaker store PHANTACi held a special event last night titled “I Can’t Brake”. The event featured a meeting of local fixed gear riders with sponsorship from local fixed gear shop nabiis and Japanese bike shop starfuckers. A handful of products were also released to commemorate the event including t-shirts and custom bikes made by the two aforementioned bike shops. The tees and bikes are priced at $40 USD and $1200 USD respectively.
To pop off the Push Project Art Show, a three way collaboration saw retailer Atlas, skate brand Manik and New York artist Nish to create a collection of t-shirts and skatedecks. Unlike conventional board art, the art is designed on reinspired skate boards. The two decks featured here were done by Andrew Pommier and Jeff Proctor. In a series of photographs relating back to his 2007 film My Blueberry Nights, Chinese director Wong Kar Wai has joined forces with contemporary fashion boutique Opening Ceremony in a capsule of photo print t-shirts, posters and post cards. The release comes in association with the US debut of My Blueberry Nights on April 4th. While the postcards and posters document more extensively the states visited by Wong Kar Wai, the four t-shirts feature photography chosen from California, New York, Tennesse and Nevada. Wong Kar Wai will also be available on April 2nd at Opening Ceremony New York for a special meet and greet.

In conjunction with adidas Originals, Crooked Tongues is revisiting the Southeast Asia hotspot with their Celebrate Originality party. Crooked Tongues’ OG and tattoo artist BJ Betts will be hand for live installations and displays of artwork as well as an exhibition of some of adidas’ most iconic releases over the years.
