For the upcoming 2008 Spring collection, APC has looked to Vans for an all white leather SK-8 High. Look for these to hit select APC accounts.

To mark the new launch of Opium Group Prive LV club, Opium Group has teamed up with a collective of streetwear labels to effectively blur the lines of high end luxury and the raw authenticity brought by brands like Crooks & Castles, Sneaktip, Orchard Street and Block Work. The group contributed five different designs, with Crooks dropping two designs. Also on the horizon is a Prive LV x Crooks & Castles New Era cap. Prive LV strives to bring the world famous Miami aesthetic and service to the new surroundings of Las Vegas providing an unheralded experience.
The Japanese brand mastermind Japan has become synonomous with their skull logo. This famous logo forms the basis of their 10 year anniversary collector box. The box contains a 200 page book documenting the brand, a poster, bag and a stencil of the iconic skull imagery. Available now at Colette.
Between re-opening their flagship store Lump and the recent debut of their 2008 Spring/Summer “Minor Threat” collection comes a team up with famous Japanese toy-makers Secret Base. The detailed figure has some crazy clear pink detailing and also lights up.

Levi’s back pocket has raised a lot of controversy in the past, as Levi’s hit to the courts in efforts to thwart the further use of their iconic and trademarked arcrute design. In the Backpocket Gallery, a group of artists were chosen to design their very own back pocket. Nike Skateboarding has released their upcoming styles for Mmarquee releases include the Skate or Die Dunk Low, Fender Dunk Mid and Air Trainer II TW which first debuted with that hype-fest Supreme release. Other releases include a P-rod II, Blazer Low, Zoom Team Edition and Zoom Regime. These aren’t the full range of releases with other limited edition drops as well, however the roster shown here should all be hitting stores now.

However, this movement is much more then just a notion embodied by large successful brands. The task of creating a heterogeneous product among the sea of product has looked to design to ensure shoppers are offered a special retail experience. Once a technical running shoe, the Puma XR Runner has now slowly incorporated itself into Puma’s lifestyle collection. This latest themed pack incorporates multi-colored tweed into the upper. Two colorways are available, black/multi and brown/multi. The XR Runner has had it’s fair share of themed sneakers in recent memory including Ground Hog and Jurassic versions. One of Canada’s heavyweights on the scene, Livestock is set to open their doors to a brand new Vancouver location, bringing their Vancouver area presence up to two. Aside from Vancouver, a third location is also all the way across the country in Toronto. The grand opening date is yet to be set in stone but stay tuned for more details and of course the opening party.
CLOT Royale is set to release their new Reversible Pullover Hoodie this month. The simply designed hoodie keeps in theme with recent CLOT Royale releases and includes silk as one of the main materials while the other side is cotton. Two colors are available with red releasing on February 4th and blue releasing on February 16th at Juice.
For the first time in Arkitip’s history, the publication design was left in the hands of an outside source. The competent hands of Danish design collective Wood Wood were given the task of spear-heading edition No. 0044. With their quick rise to success due to their blending of different approaches and styles, no doubt this most recent edition will uphold the same qualities as previous editions from Arkitip.
Together Arkitip and Wood Wood put together HIGHTMATH, Berlin, an exhibition bringing in a wealth of talent to put their artwork on display. The list of contributors included Andrew Schoultz, Chris Lindig, Ed Templeton, Evan Hecox, Cody Hudson, CR Stecyk III, Eric Elms, Gary Benzel, Geoff McFetridge, Jo Jackson, José Parlá, Josh Petherick, Kaws, Killpixie, Michael Leon, Kevin Lyons, Michael Perry, Parra, Phil Frost, Perks, Peter Beste, Peter Sutherland, Richard Colman, Ryan Waller, Shepard Fairey, Todd St. John and Steven Harrington. Edition No. 0044 also included a special package with 3D reels and viewers. The exhibition will conclude on March 1st.

This coming weekend, the brand Futura Laboratories will be releasing two new graphic tees which include the “Graffitti” tee and the “Cold War” tee. Both tees contain some interesting imagery that takes a stance on certain topics. There will also be jackets, vests and hoodies using these designs that will be coming soon as well.
