JK5 x Mishka Collection

JK5 x Mishka Collection

Back in 1999, critically acclaimed artist JK5 put together a vivid 432 page volume of his work titled Subconsciothesaurusnex. The book would go on to form the basis of this collaboration with New York’s Mishka. Over a three day span, the book was carefully dissected and repasted to create a stunning collage of the artist’s works. The collage would then be applied in various forms including t-shirts, hoodies and hats. Although both the artist and brand represent concepts and imagery off the beaten path, one cannot help but realize the perfect union created by these two entities and their flawless execution. View the entire collection along with background information over at Mishka.

Nike Be True Chronicles Haze

Five years ago, living legend Haze put to work his creativity and design as him and Nike put the touches on a pack of Nike Dunks. The Haze Dunks are latest and greatest to be featured in the Nike Be True Chronicles, an ongoing showcase of the most heralded Nike Dunks throughout it’s existence. The background story goes as follows with Nike enlisting the help of the talented artist on a new spray technique, eventually giving up the reigns of creative control for the ensuing Hyperstrike box. The shoes could be considered among the tipping points of sneaker insanity as the market would soon explode.

There is also talk of a #45 Chicago White Sox t-shirt as well that will release alongside the sneakers. Source: The Shoe Game via blc02 @ NikeTalk

PAM 2008 Spring "Space Face" Collection

PAM 2008 Spring "Space Face" Collection

In our eyes, Australian label PAM has done a great job with their 2008 Spring theme of “Space Face”. Incorporating a relatively obscure theme of outer space has proven none too difficult for PAM. On the heels of some earlier features, new styles include t-shirts, jewelry and jackets. One of the most interesting pieces is the Alien jacket, made of paper fibers which is meant to be cleaned solely through a good wipe down with a cloth. These pieces are available now through Provider.
