LIFE Archive | The Pacific Theater in Color

An arrangement that has been made with Google, Time Inc. has been hosting their LIFE Archive which consists of one of the largest collection of images around the world. Here we take a look at the second installment of LIFE Archive’s “The Pacific Theater in Color (Part II).” This amazing installment shows iconic photos from the World War II Pacific Theater operations in vivid and clear detail. Being that these photos are seen for the first time in color and high resolution, it gives viewers a never-before seen look at what has happened during the war in the 1940s and breathes a new life into them.
