“There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other”
Founded in 1973 in the Swiss capital of Geneva, the Imaginary Foundation was created by a group of diverse free thinkers spanning many different backgrounds. With a goal of eliminating “set conventions in favor of the humorous, the abstract and the visionary”, the group preaches this philosophy 35 years later with a number of unconventional forms of expression. Later this month, the IF will present a series of oil paintings and sculptures at Los Angeles’ SURU art space. Musical performances will include DJ Nitedog and a live performance by the Drumming astronaut. The event takes place Saturday, December 13th at 7 pm.
